The Silk Art Museum was founded in 2008<\/strong>on the initiative of the Tsiakiri family,<\/strong>with the aim of\npromoting silk as an element of cultural identity and local history.<\/p>

The family, which has been continuously involved in silk production since 1954<\/strong>sought to\ncapture in an organized space the journey and difficulties of silk production, as well as its\nimportance for the economic and social development of Soufli. \u03a3\u03bf\u03c5\u03c6\u03bb\u03af\u03bf\u03c5<\/strong>.<\/p>

With the valuable contribution of architect Maria Xyda<\/strong>the neoclassical building was restored\nand converted into a modern exhibition space, with respect for its historical character.<\/p>
