

The Silk Art Museum was founded in 2008on the initiative of the Tsiakiri family,with the aim of promoting silk as an element of cultural identity and local history.
The family, which has been continuously involved in silk production since 1954sought to capture in an organized space the journey and difficulties of silk production, as well as its importance for the economic and social development of Soufli. Σουφλίου.
With the valuable contribution of architect Maria Xydathe neoclassical building was restored and converted into a modern exhibition space, with respect for its historical character.
